Hello, and welcome to THE TIMES section of the KarlGoetz.com museum site.
This section was created to discuss the historical settings and socio-political influences by which Goetz lived and created his art. Goetz lived through the most tumultuous period of modern European times but also the most dynamic and artistically creative period from the advent of the 20th c. through the 1920’s.
This section will eventually allow us to better understand influences Goetz, as well as all other German artists, dealt with day to day.
We hope to have a comprehensive study in place soon.
We are sorry for the delay in placing content in this Section. We will populate this section and sub-sections as time allows. As with other Sections, we will initially populate the pages with Kienast text if deemed appropriate for the topic(s) at hand rather than no information.
