Obverse: Busts of a sweating Sir Edward Grey and Death, holding an hour-glass before the former. In border, "Sir Grey zeig' deine Macht" (Sir Grey show your power). KG below right of skull.

Reverse: Rising Sphinx, above, star and crescent; in the background a caravan with camels before pyramids. In exergue, "Aegypten — erwacht 1915" (Egypt wakes up).
