Obverse: Within beaded perimeter a bust of General Oberst von Hindenburg. Inscribed; "Generaloberst • von • Hindenburg" K•GOETZ incised into truncation.

Reverse: Russian cavalry, put to flight in the Masurian Marshes. Legend. "Die Russische Narew-Armee vernichfet" (The Russian Narew-Army destroyed). In exergue,"28.-31. August 1914 — In den Seen Masurens" (In the Masurian Lakes).

Reverse: Muled reverse of K-151 but without inscription and dates added. Young Siegfried, with sword, about to slay a three-headed hydra consisting of a Russian bear, French coq, and Italian lion. Dated 1914-15.

This medal is only known in Struck silver.

Reverse: Ribboned palm frond and laurel with date inscribed, "22. FEBR. 1915" Inscription reads, "ENDE DER WINTERSCHLACHT IN MASUREN VERNICHTUNG DER X. RUSS.ARMEE"
