Obverse: Russian bear, in the character of a three-headed hydra (bear, Gallic Coq and unicorn), attacked by an eagle (Germany).

Reverse: "Russland und • seine • Henckers - Gesellen der • reudigen• Hydra raubgierig • bellen an • Deutschem Geiste • sollen zerschellen 1914" (Russia and its executioner's assistants of the bloodthirsty Hydra are rapaciously barking, but shall be destroyed by the German spirit 1914). A small snake slithers to the right in the third line. K•G• at 6 o'clock.
